FAQs

  • How do I know this is safe?

Quirky Buds is doing everything possible to ensure safety in matches.  Through the terms and conditions, buds are to acknowledge that they are signing up for this service with appropriate intentions.  By only providing minimal information, Quirky Buds encourages you to maintain safety when first contacting your matches and having multiple emailing exchanges before exchanging further personal information.

  • How do you make matches?

Quirky Buds makes matches based on location, interests, and age.  Friendships are easier to maintain when you have similar interests and you can see each other regularly.  Age is also considered in matches.  Although age is a number, we try to match buds close in age to help facilitate support during similar life experiences.

  • Who is this for?

Quirky Buds is for people of all ages!  It was started with the target population being neurodiverse individuals and families.  However, this is really expanded to support people who want to make friends with different groups, who may feel isolated, or who just want to connect.

"With Quirky Buds, we are excited to help our big-hearted daughter embrace her unique qualities and build lasting friendships with children and families outside of our circle, (which the pandemic has unfortunately kept pretty small in her young life.)" - Kristina
